Sacred Valley Tour 1 Day

Sacred Valley Tour 01 Day

Peru is a snapshot of all that is great about South America; Inca ancient ruins, lakes of new tropical glaciers, Andes Mountains, deserts, and world-class cuisine that captures the country's vibrancy and color. It's the ultimate best destination. Immerse yourself in a history spanning several millennia, and trek to dizzying heights, explore vibrant, bustling markets, and bask in the culture of Cuzco, a city that has unique places, museums, and astounding Inca / Colonial architecture at every turn. You've got to try the infamous Peruvian cuisine too. Grab a plate of Ceviche and wash it down with a Pisco sour cocktail. It's a taste sensation you won't forget and one that will leave you wanting more: the food, culture, beaches, deserts, markets, and more.

Itinerary

This magic tour begins at 7:30 AM or 8 AM. First, we have to pick you up from the hotel wherever it's located. Then, by touristic transport in 30 minutes of a ride, we cross Cuzco valley, Corao valley, and the central Inca valley (folkloric name called inter-Andean valleys).
The lookout of Taray is located near the main paved road, and it is a natural lookout. The last years became famous for stopping here, and for sure will stay some minutes to appreciate the Sacred Valley of the Incas and the Urubamba river.
From the Andean valley is coming the most giant corn in the world. After 15 minutes of transport ride, we have the Inca Pisac, the terracing system made all over an Andes mountain is fascinating and unique, looks like unreal.
The views from there it is the best. We have a walk to explore some Inca constructions compounding the Inca park, like the Inca guardhouses, the old Inca trails, The Inca cemetery, the Pre- Inca citadel, doorways, and many other ritual places.

The Colonial Pisac is located riverside. We will have half an hour of free time to explore the city.
We have to carry on for one hour to Urubamba (lunch place), and from Urubamba to Ollantaytambo is 20 minutes. There is no choice always in the regular tours is super crowded, but let's keep exploring the beautiful Incan site.
Ollantaytambo was a temple and a ritual Inca place. We can find Plazas, trails, farming areas, the main Inca door, the ornamental windows, the sun, and the moon temple (the Incas people never got finish their time on this side of the Sacred Valley).

The red giant blocks came from the Cachicata quarry 10 kilometers away, just next mountain in front, the Inca balcony, and the Inca fountains area, for exploring are the main places to visit (around 1 hour the walking tour).
We have to go back to Cuzco city using another way, via Chinchero. Also,o Chinchero is the last place to visit today. We have an Inca ruin there, where the ninth Inca ruler Pachacutec spent his vacations on high Andes mountains with his 200 wives.
Also, this place was a ceremonial place, well known as the road of the rainbows; near the upper area, we have a nice Inca wall with the Colonial church dedicated to Montserrat saint virgin. From Chinchero to Cuzco is half an hour by car.
End of the tour.
